No it's not... I have a 3M 1080 gloss black roof and it's very low maintenance. No swirling even with regular hand washes.

You can wax and hand wash or touchless pressure wash it just like paint. No need to do anything special, but do note that a wrap is not forever. It will start to deteriorate after 3-5 years and get taken off or a new one put on.
