You should be able to generate your own code. I'm not aware of how you can have "your own account" with USAA, under your father. Either you are on his policy or you have a policy of your own. There's no middle ground that I know of where you have an "account" under someone else.
My father was in the airforce and as such I was able to get USAA insurance of my own when I started driving 30 years ago and have had them ever since. I was able to just go online and generate the code.
When you say you have "an account" do you mean a USAA bank account or credit card, or are you talking an insurance policy?
