you need to clean brake dust off ASAP or it will cake on. That goes for any brake pad... A regular street pad you might be able to get away with weekly or semi-weekly cleanings, but, a track car needs to be cleaned asap. The more aggressive pads are even worse than modest PFC endurance pads like the 08 compound. Hawk pads like DTC-60 or 70 are more ferrous (metal) and will even eat paint as the hot pad material embeds itself.

Ceramic pads won't produce such aggressive dust but they also won't stop the car as well either lol. They are usually trash in regard to cold-bite too.
