If I had the room (and spousal approval) for two cars, I would really consider this also. The 2 is an awesome daily, and surprisingly competent at the track with minimal updates. But it will never be a true light weight pure handling sports car like a Miata. Also, the incredible depth and breadth of Miata track parts, and lower costs of a smaller/lighter car make it really attractive for track use.

Sadly, I'll just have to live with my 'compromise' car, and keep smiling like a madman as I kick it's heavy butt around the track. And then enjoy the comfy seats on the long ride home.
