Just a few kind words of advice. If you had to have someone install an intake and you're having trouble removing a connector, it may be best to leave the work to someone more seasoned or at least have them show you so you can learn.

BMW connectors can be finicky and each one has a special trick to unlock them. For connectors such as the MAF, you may need to use a pick tool to disengage the clip from the opposite side of the tab you're pushing down with your finger. The trick is not to force anything because if you break the connector, you're in for a headache.

Lastly, the BMS intake is well known to cause all sorts of driveability issues including stalling and rough running conditions. It's never been shown to make power and I would say it's likely to make less power than the stock intake when driving in hot conditions.
