Happy Holidays!
Dear Brandon,

Are you sure the information you gave me in the last couple of posts is accurate? Please don't take any offense - I realize it's Holiday, and all those fitment numbers may get one confused - but:

1. You say you don't have 8.5x18 wheels available with ET=40. Then how about the V703 (I'm basing on VMR EU pages, so here it is: http://www.vmrwheels.eu/wheels_bmw_a...3_vb3.html)???

So my question repeated- if I go with V703 and the following fitment:

F: 8.5x18" ET40, 225/40R18 tire I have now and 235/40R18 in the future
R: 9x5x18 ET45, 245/35 R18 tire I have now and 255/35R18 in the future

- will this work well for me, now and in the future with 10mm wider tires?

2. Another of your posts I don't quite get is #81, recommending (if I am getting you right) that I'd be best off going with your earlier generally recommended fitment:

F) 8.5 ET45 + 3 or 5mm spacer > 235/40/18
* Spacer required for appropriate suspensions clearance
or
(F) 8.5 ET35 (No spacer) > 225/40/18
* 235 tire with this spec may require modification depending on ride height, alignment/camber, and tire brand/model

(R) 9.5 ET45 or ET50 > 245/35/18 or 255/35/15

Again, the front is not a solution for me if I would like to get an 8.5x18 wheel, and use it for some 25k km with my current OEM PSS in 225/40R18 size but once worn out, replace the tire with a 235/40R18. It's obvious I'd like to put the 225/40R18 on the 8.5x18 ET 35 (no spacers required), and for 235/40R18 I couldn't reuse this wheel without fender roll-up - do you agree? (I'm dropped on H&R).

So- all in all - I still think the fitment as in my Point 1, above, looks like the optimum way to go. For the first period with 225/40R18 tires I have, I could even use 5mm spacers at the front...Please confirm whether you indeed make a mistake, or it's me who is still in error...
