Closing the loop here.

I found a 2014 CTS V-Sport put in service in 2015 and brought it home.

The Bad:
- CUE sucks.
- I hate touchscreen interfaces in cars, so CUE never really had a change
- It's black on black and my OCD is going to punish me keeping it clean
- Factory tires (pirelli p-zero) tramline badly. Must burn them off and replace

The Good
- Holy crap this thing drives well! The magnetic ride suspension is frightfully good. It's just unflappable and is never harsh regardless of the mode used.
- Effortless power delivered smoothly
- I love the exhaust note
- I think it looks downright menacing from the front. It's got presence.
- A comfortable (enough) back seat
- The winter wheels & tires from my M235 fit the Caddy!

CTS V-Sport was on my shortlist with the 5 series diesel and gas but I had trouble finding a local car to drive. Found one at carmax and liked it a lot, but it was the wrong color. I missed the perfect car for me in Michigan by about 2 hours. In the end I stumbled upon this car at a local honda dealer and pulled the trigger.
