I removed the (2) 10 mm flange bolts which provides access to the Oil Cooler / OFHG bolt without issue. The flange was black on the outside and the part was unbroken. The seal was intact. Pictured is the part after I removed it from the hose per Rein instructions. I recommend replacing this part as preventative maintenance & during WP/Thermostat R&R.

Being that your car is about 6 years old, did you replace your coolant hoses when doing the water pump and thermostat?
