Hey guys just found this gem on the Bimmerworld website, I've been waiting on something like this for so long!! Does anyone here have past experience with the B6's? Would like to know if there is enough of a difference from OEM for me to retain EDC compatibility and go for these or go with something like a KW V2 and code out the EDC...

Thanks for any input!
The whole point of switching to Bilstein B6 or B8 shocks used to be an inexpensive monotube design coupled with either stock springs or, typically, with mildly/moderately lowering springs such as Eibach Pro Kit or H&R.

Monotube B6 used to work well with lowering less than 30 mm and B8 used to be for lowering 30 mm or more. B12 kit used to be monotube B8 plus Eibach Pro springs.

Now, from looking at the pictures, these are not monotube. These are typical twin-tube just like the stock shocks. It's anyone's guess which springs they were tested with and how different these would be from the stock shocks of the similar design.

ps: B6 and B8 for cars without EDC are monotube.
