People usually think high mileage leases don't make sense. I think the opposite is true... BMW charges so little for the extra miles vs what you'd lose in resale if you bought it. If you 20k or 25k miles per year leasing can definitely be a good option. Most people (incorrectly) dismiss the lease in that case because they think it'll be much more expensive but it actually isn't.
I think its just best to wait it out and see how your mileage adds up. You can purchase additional miles up to a few months before lease end I believe. So if you think you may need them but aren't sure, I'd go for the lower amount and add them towards the end if necessary. Unfortunately, if you overshoot, you can't recover the money you've spent month after month on those additional miles.
