Visibility is not as good as on a sedan or touring where there is just one A Pillar. I find it easier to see as I'm 194cm tall so have the seat most of the way back but my wife who is 156cm tall does struggle as the thick A Pillars are right in her field of side view. She loves the car though but did enjoy the 3 series she had the use of for 2 weeks while BMW replaced her 218i's engine. The visibility on that was much better for her.
