Jake was using EBC yellows without any fitment issues as far as I know. I don't have a comprehensive list of other pads that lack the damper though.

Thanks for the details! it seems maybe removing the damper is the best option. On ecs website rear ebc yellow seem to bring same oem damper according to picture., its possible the dampers are smaller then stock I guess.
