Not in my M235 but in my old E46 325ci.
The car was sitting in the driveway, completely un-disurbed and I went out to brush a little bit of a snow dust off of it and found the sunroof shattered. I had noticed a small chip in the glass a few days prior, I don't know if it had anything to do with it though.
