I had a big issue with car play cutting in and out when I first got the car. I spent 6 months with apple trying to figure out. The final fix they gave me was to disconnect the battery and reconnect. Apple said that it fixed another BMW owners issue. That was a year ago it has all but eliminated the disconnects. I also have an Apple Watch and home wifi that is connected when start up. It switches over seamlessly. I do have the wireless charger but I barely use it.
