I guess they must just used colored water there.. Here, in most states, washer fluid contains alcohol, so I have a hard time believing algae would grow... here that is. To be honest, if there's an algae problem, I don't think the heat from the turbo would make much difference.. It gets dang hot anywhere under the hood.
