When my 235 was new I though the brakes were kind of weak, I don't really recall what I was doing that made me feel that way.
Though, now at 30,000 miles on original brakes I find the brakes very good on the road and under some hard repeated stops.
I'm on Michelin A/S3's but when I had the summer tire I do think the tire needed a bit of heat (road surface) in them to perform best under braking.
