I wish I'd kept an electric. My son has a Fender Strat so I dabble from time to time, but when I got out of a band I went acoustic and never went back.
Way before your time, but in '66, Buffalo Springfield was playing at a local dance club. I stood up front looking up at Stephen Stills playing not 5 feet away. At that time, he was using a flat pick AND two finger picks (middle and ring finger). The next day, I bought finger picks and started learning folk and folk rock songs. Those were the days!
