As for the car itself, I think it looks like total shit and is a bastardization of the brand and vehicle. If I saw the guy on the street I'd tell him in the severest terms possible he's a fucking moron. That being said, he can keep the badges on if he likes, provided it was originally a Ferrari and the whole car isn't custom made.

No. This was something they did with their limited edition cars including the Enzo. You weren't allowed to be put on the waiting list unless you had owned xx previous Ferraris including XXXX and XXXX (I think an F40 or F50) and when you got on the list it wasn't to buy the car, it was to get a 2 year lease directly from Ferrari on the car with a buy option at the end. During this time you had to follow certain rules, including not allowing any press to drive the car, among other things I forget. F430's and 599's are just like any other car after you buy them from the dealer.
