So, I got a 6 year old Valentine 1, and an even older escort 9500i. None of them have been updated with firmware, etc. V1 does drive me nuts sometime with false alarms but I love the arrows.
I did read about turning off pop and x band and might do that.

Based on your experiences what would you recommend:

1.Send in the 9500i and update to ix for $125. Sell the v1 and buy a new 9500ix

2.Send in the 9500i to ix (above) and send it the V1 and update to latest V1 for $190.

3. Send in 9500i... (Above) and leave V1 old school and turn off features like x/pop as I don't think they are not used in Washington/Seattle. Reason being the V1, even updated might still have a lot of false alarms.
