the M235i is definitely NOT an M car.....it doesn't have the development nor the uniqueness to be one. It is essentially an M-inspired car or for better terms an equivalent 'is' rebadged as an M235i.

Agree the M235i is not an M car.
But the 1M is not a traditional M car. It is a parts bin car with a tuned version of non-M engine. Doesn't mean it is a bad car, far from it actually.
