My E46 doesn't. Though even after just over 2 years I often have to have two or three goes at closing the door because the seal is so good.
BMW Mini's do drop the windows, but then they are of a frameless door type. Barring frozen windows it makes sense and avoids undue pressure on the glass if you slam the door. I wonder how much more time they have to spend ensuring that the fit and setup of the windows are right to avoid sealing problems, or do they just put a fudge factor into the price for the resulting warranty work?
