JB4 Tune for N20?

Hey everyone!

I'm very interested in getting a JB4 tune done (not the stage 1) onto my 220i but I'm a bit sceptical if the wiring and everything works perfectly fine on the F22...

Here is the tune http://burgertuning.com/N20_Jb4.html

Any comments or feedback regarding this tune would be highly appreciated!
Thanks

ClayW, I believe your car is also N20 motor. It should work perfectly fine.

Works perfectly fine and will add a good 35+ WHP to the car

Won't it give him around 265hp? Adding around 80hp or so? Same engine as the 228 but the tune works around the detune that came with 220. That's how I understood it. Same story with 320i.

I assumed he as a 228.
You are correct since he has a 220 he will get even more HP increase.

If you look at jb4s website the dyno shows around 260hp and 280lbs to the wheels. There aren't a many other independent dynos online but one other I saw was about the same.

Can the stage 1 unit be upgraded to the full JB4?

Yes, but more cost efficient to sell the JB Stage 1 and buy a new JB4 Stage 2.
Otherwise, you will have a money worth Stage 1 box that you can't sell because you don't have or can't sell the harness.

Stage 1 Tune increase top speed limiter?

dealership failed to inform me that ordering the car with A/S run flats on my Sport line reduces top speed back to 130 mph rather than 155 Question...does the stage 1 tune increase top speed limiter or just add hp and torque?

130 mph is no fun on the autobahn

the jb4 should remove the top speed limiter, not sure about stage 1. The reason why the limit of 130 mph with those A/S run flat tires is because they are probably not rated for speeds higher than that. Check their speed rating first.

yea, i figured that...however, i ordered it with a/s for the winter...they never told me that it would reduce back to 130...if i wouldve known that i wouldve gotten it with perf tires and spent a couple hundred on a winter set...im planning on putting on perf tires after winter, but the dealership here in germany said that theres still nothing they can do about the limiter since it came from the factory like that and BMW wont release a code for it...so i was hoping the stage 1 will increase it...
