BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey, guys. Finally got it clean but it's definitely a losing battle with the pollen this time of year. Big thanks to Andrew @ IND, VivalaReagan for the radar DIY and iBeech for the phone DIY. Here's the full list of stuff I have done to the car:

MG reflectors
MG mirror covers
Stealth turn signal bulbs
M performance pedals
All weather mats and trunk liner
Mirror tap Escort redline install with low profile mount
Proclip vent mount iPhone
Plasti dipped EZ pass
Debadged all around
35% tint

If anyone is interested in part numbers or anything let me know. Will post some more pics once the matching Macan is here tonight.

35 was debating between that and 40. Went 35 bc after talking to the guy I guess you get a lot more UV blocking, heat reduction etc.

Very nice job! Did you manage to do most if not all the install yourself? I just ordered the interior trim kit from Sun Motors to go with the Alcantara M Performance steering wheel installed last month.

What is the part number for the trunk mat? I have the sport line mats with red trim up front, but the straight black would be fine for the trunk.

Will post it tomorrow think I got it from Sun actually. They also had tan trim so you could be in luck w red. The fit is really nice.

Do yourself a favor and go on a sunny day. I went on a cloudy day and between that, grey car and black interior along w minimal factory tint I was guessing instead of choosing.

OP, first off... Nicely done!

Secondly, what made you select that Escort Redline mount shown over some of the others? I've seen many of those clips that mount to the rearview mirror but you went with one that appears to mount higher than those. Is it high enough to be a little more discreet or did you go with that one because it takes up less of your visibility?

I don't like the mirror mount option, too low and in my sight line. Everything you read says higher is better too. I also don't need to stare at the thing when driving, it's out if the way and when it beeps I slow down. I've not had good luck w the suction cup standard mount they seem to always fall off. Got that one on eBay just search "Escort Radar Mount" it uses 3M double sided tape. I can try and post a link later if you can't find it. Visor still works perfectly fine.

One other advantage over mirror option is that this one is like $5

Car looks great!
Next time take your pictures with the sun behinds you and not in front of you as it's too dark. I know the sun was almost directly 90 degrees but from the shadow it was more of a 45 degree angle than a 90 degree angle, jensen the large shadow in the rear with none in front.

I'm sure you'll take more shots later. I really want to see the debadge look with better lighting.

Congrats again your mods are looking great so far

So, would you have gone lighter with your tint if you could do it again?

No I love it but I'm not going to claim any skill in picking it. Was 100% dumb luck.

Amazing Looking!!

you wouldn't happen to of been on the vine street expressway going east bound on thursday around 1:30-2ish?

I ask because i saw an m235 go past me when we were stuck in traffic, and according to my dealer the 235's especially in Mineral Grey are extremely rare in our area, he only knew of 2 in the area, 1 was sold by Otto's and Another by BMW of the Mainline.
