Thanks for sharing. I think it looks great, but hey, if that's his only gripe so be it.

Loving this car and hopefully hop into an M2 next. This platform is so fun compared to the bloat across the rest of the line.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with the looks. As a non 2er owner, I think this is one of the sexiest cars BMW has put out in years. I'd love one myself.
I'd like to hear what Korean car the tester thinks looks better than a 2er (I know it's all subjective, but still)

It's as aggressive as the M sport models for the F30/32 series, so the reviewer is a monkey for knocking the looks.

You can't let it look like an M2!

I concur.. most didnt like the look of the 1er/1M anyway.... so it reminds me of those comments...

Personally.. I love the 1Ms looks.. and the 2 series looks even better... except at the rear.... the rear body panel and taillights and rear valance (or lack thereof) are a disappointment for me right now. Hoping the M2 treatment makes it look meaner from the rear.

Why does this guy think good-looking = visual-drama? Go get your "emo" car from Kia, man!

Personally, I think this is one of the best looking BMWs of recent years. But I would take the classy design of nearly any BMW before I'd take something with more visual-drama, aka "over-done".

I like the grey one on the left better.

I think the 2 looks good overall, but has some awkwardness from certain angles.

I actually agree. It looks like a BMW, but doesn't look great. Maybe it's different in person, but I really don't like the rear.

I still think this is one of BMW's best current offerings, but...

Cammisa, in latest R&T:

Sadly, zero feedback comes through the electrically assisted rack. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Cant wait to drive the M235i...

Looks are highly subjective. But I gotta agree with the review - looks on this car do nothing for me....

Am holding-out hope the M2 brings the sexy sizzle. Right when I'm due for something new in 015....

That's what I said to myself. Better looking =/= outrageous styling. Just look at the new Lexus is. It's drama all over the place. It stands out and does look cool, but it isn't remotely classy looking as a luxury car should be. The m235i is aggressive AND classy looking, what a bmw should be. I could understand his point regarding the rear, but the rest of the car is very handsome.

I was with you until you mentioned the Lexus. That car is pretty, and the new f-sport front grill is hot sex.
