Just drove the demo m235i that my dealer received today.

It was mineral grey on black. The silver mirrors look a bit like a mistake on a grey car. Might work with red, black or blue.

It's a much bigger, more imposing car than the e82. The back of the car looks a hell of a lot better in person than it does in photos.

The car definitely needs 19's, and with mineral grey (which I ordered), might need a different diffuser.

Exhaust note was a tiny bit of a disappointment. I will definitely consider aftermarket alternatives.

It also sits a little bit high. Not sure if 19s will change that, or if it maybe needs a small drop.

Steering feel was excellent, or at least a ton better than the f30. You can definitely feel the low end torque and the ride is firm but not overly jarring.

Can also tell that the car is fairly heavy, as I swung the tail out a couple of times (although the road was wet).

Sounds great! I ordered MG/CR ... I'm thinking about doing CF grill, mirror caps and spoiler anyway... (or maybe black).

Waiting on a ship!

It felt pretty damn similar to the e90. You can definitely feel the weight though on such a small platform.

Overall, I'm super excited. It's got an aggressive look to it, and is a great size.

Did you notice anything with the head room? Limited or plenty of room for taller folk? BMWUSA states there is .2" more headroom than the 435i, in which I fit fine in at 6'6.

I'm 6'1, and head room wasn't a problem at all. Definitely more room than my e90.

Perfect! Someone scared me on another board saying he is 6'4 and his head was touching the roof in the drivers seat.

I'm 6'4" and have never had an issue in any BMW I've owned. Haven't driven a 235 yet, but did drive a 1M at the dealer and had no issue with that. I personally don't expect any issue

Review of BMW M235i Enthusiastic drivers will already be declaring this car sex on legs. Or, as it were, rubber. But if you’re not quite getting it yet, the M235i is about the size of a family hatchback and much better looking, quicker than a Porsche Cayman S, cheaper than a regular Cayman and, with four seats, far more practical. It’s an astonishingly good value way to go awesomely fast. - FANTASTIC REVIEW...

All of your posts confuse me lmao.

Thanks for the input, OP. You're one of the first to actually mention the exhaust note, which I was worried wouldn't be as much as I wanted. It's sounding more and more like I'll be going for the M Performance one once it's out.

I would think M Performance add-ons would be covered under warranty if installed by the dealer - thinking about the M-differential in particular here.
