The Blue M235i looks and sounds great, but what is it this year with all the test cars with a Auto trans? I have not seen ONE test car or review with a manual. In a automated era i can understand auto trans but come on BMW the 2 series is for enthusiasts mostly....and a great majority of us prefer to shift the old fashion way and be engaged physically with the car,......the test driver in these videos did not eeven try the paddle shifter at all....

It sounds good but I wonder how much of that sound is "real"?

Agreed 100%.
Unfortunately, "a great majority of us" is a minority of people comparing to the population who prefer automatic gearbox.

Exactly! The first blue m235i seems to have the optional m-sport 228i wheels (?). They look so much better than the std m235i wheel! I can't stand the std m235i wheel, but I'll probably be forced to get them as oppose to the optional 19" since I imagine the 19"s will be RFT and obviously without the great PSS

I don't understand the issues with piped in sound. Does it sound real? Does it sound good? Then what's the problem?

Sound

Maybe I'm crazy, but I prefer this engine sound over the M3/M4, by a lot!

I stopped watching half way through. My OCD wanted to drop kick the driver for his horrible steering wheel grip and lack of paddle shifter use. Talk about a noob in action.

Not only did he not use the paddles, he didn't even have the shifter in S mode.

At least the car sounds nice. This video just reinforces my strong desire to get rid of my 8AT and back into a proper manual. 3 pedals from now on!
