M235i HUD

The BMW USA website lists one of the model highlights as a full-color head-up display (HUD). However, I don't see this listed in the configuration. Does anyone know which one is accurate?

I believe that's a website error. I've been told that the HUD is definitely not an option on the M235i.

Correct. No HUD.

Meh, test drove an f30 today with HUD, wasn't that into it. More of a novelty than anything.

I just replaced my 335i's cracked windshield with HUD for $1200. It's a cool feature but i'll pass on the next one.

Sucks, I don't think HUD is a novelty at all. Very useful with the NAV system.

If HUD were available as an option, I would pass anyway. Have never seen the value in it, admittedly I have not owned a HUD-equipped car, but have driven one.

My thoughts are if you owned a car with a HUD, you'll miss it. If haven't had one, obviously you won't notice the absence.

I never actually look at the analog speedo anymore. It's fully the HUD.

You are absolutely, 100% correct. When I ordered my car I couldn't really have cared less about it, but now after a year whenever I get into a car without it there is definitely something missing. I never look down at the gauge cluster since the speed is just floating in front of my face, and I don't need the tach since I have that hilarious N20 racket emanating from under the hood.

Yeah, I wouldn't have cared at all, but a year and a half into my F30 with HUD....it would be difficult to go back to not having it.

I just don't get why they didn't include it as an option.

Because the 2 series is a lower end car. Same reason you can't get black panel display, ventilated seats, night vision, etc. on a 3 series. Product positioning.
