Off topic can anyone post the Top Gear best sports car M135i vs Boxster S. I know the M135i won, but would love to read the article and it is not online. Thanks |

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned previously but I noticed in looking at the spy pictures that in the few where they're driving the car off the truck, the left side exhaust appears to be open and venting exhaust fumes. On the N54 and I believe the N55 engines in the 3er, that doesn't happen. In other words, when I start my car in the morning and the car is just idling, exhaust fumes only exit on the right side because the valve on the left side is closed.
Wonder if this means that the valve on the 2er is not there. Frankly, I think it's stupid that the exhaust even has a valve that actually breaks. (I know because my left muffler has been replaced.) Why not just let the exhaust fumes exit both sides evenly? ![]() Hopefully, these pictures will show that the valves are gone for good.
