This looks awesome. Look at that rear. Beautiful blacklines. Aggressive spoiler.
Dual exhaust. Proportions look excellent. I am so excited, provided BMW doesn't fugly up the front end on purpose, as they did with the (soon to be pre-lci) new 1er.

Perfect. ED #2 for 2014 (M235) or 2015 (M2 hopefully). A win-win in any event!!!

Mercedes is going to have a fit. Their CLA is not only FWD it's also very long. It has little in common with sport or comfort; show only.
![]() Mercedes is valued at half the BMW this year, with negative prospects. (Auto news Europe article) Market capitalization at BMW has surged to 45 billion euros ($58.8 billion), versus 42.2 billion for Daimler. With the subtraction of a reasonable price for Daimler's truck business -- the world's biggest -- the value investors assign to Mercedes passenger cars stands at about 25 billion euros. Mercedes had a market capitalization 15.5 billion euros higher than BMW's just two years ago. "The market's confidence in Daimler management is pretty much at rock bottom," said Max Warburton, a Bernstein analyst in Singapore. "Investors have little or no confidence that current management will be able to do what is necessary to close the gap to BMW." sluggish expansion into popular segments like compact sport-utility vehicles, and an image that lacks appeal for younger drivers have hindered the Mercedes marque. "The market is saying that the prospects for Mercedes are much worse than for BMW," said Hans-Peter Wodniok, an analyst with Fairesearch in Kronberg, Germany. "The market's always right. In terms of innovation, BMW is the leader." http://europe.autonews.com/apps/pbcs...oses-investors Last edited by Antares; 12-18-2012 at 02:09 AM. |

Lets hope the 2 series does not grow to much. I have 1M coupe and the size is spot on for agility.
I also hope the M2 gets a 6cil turbo. 340hp like the 1M is enough just get some weight off. And get the same bulldog looks like the 1M. |

The 2er looks really hot. The new wheel design is sexy. Amazing what a few bends in metal can do!
Glad I saw this before I pulled the trigger on an X1, but I don't think I can wait another year to get behind the wheel of a BMW! |

I can see myself in a 2 series, 3 series is getting bigger despite BMW did a good job on controlling the weight, and 1 series is a bit too small to be a serious all purpose car.

Another exclusive. had you not caught them here then you would have to wait for winter testing in the new year.
The 2er was expected to be seen for the first time as will the X4 and an all new BMW model - something we have not seen yet.

I'm O.K. with that as long as it creates a bit more rear seat legroom (for the little rugrats).... ![]()

Same discussions as the e30 325 and M3. If your in the know you understand why the M3 is so much better than the 325is. An S version turbo 4 pot 2.5 liter would be something else. High RPM buzz bomb again that is the total package. It's not all about acceleration, it's about how much of that acceleration you can carry through the turn. ///M cars are about momentum driving not point and shoot driving like all these 35i models.
