The side flanks of this car are 'art'.
One day you'll be walking toward your car and from a distance the light will hit the side profile just right, and you'll think to yourself that 'this car is frickin beautiful'. |

Nice to see another Glacier Silver fan! If it makes you feel any better (and I know it won't), I too had a 4 month wait to get my car. What will make you forget about it is once you get through the break-in period!

What color option are the rims? Not the standard orbit grey?

That's Orbit Grey: not black. They just look black under certain lighting conditions: like the harsh, overly white-temperature discharge lights at an auto dealership parking lot, which increases contrast in a typical exposure ...

Automatic Transmission in M240i
Are you happy with the shifts with the automatic 8-sp transmission in the M240i? I am a bit concerned in that when I had a test drive, it shifted very rough/hard and was clunky. My wife's 328i lurches and shifts hard at times as well.
Thank you. |

Shifts are smooth and precise.
You may have tested a cold engine not up to temp. Having owned Porsche's and Audi's, this is one BADASS little coupe. |

Correct, I have the same wheels on my 228ix. Be very careful around curbs as they protrude past the tires. I wasn't and did rim damage on 2 wheels. Repaired at dealer for $300.

Absolutely gorgeous color and wheel combo. And yes, to the above question by MarkTx, the automatic shifts super-smoothly and seems to shift more aggressively the more aggressively you drive it, if that makes sense. Under hard acceleration, it will swap ratios really rapidly (like instantaneously) and will shove you back in your seat. Under less aggressive throttle, it shifts seamlessly and like butter. Hate to admit it but it really is a phenomenal transmission. The more you play with it and the different modes/manual shifting etc., the more you learn how intelligently it has been programmed. It really does think of everything. 95% of the time I love it but 5% of the time I still wish I had a manual transmission. Sorry for the rather large digression.
