Just got my M235I
Hello all. I had been hanging out in the M2 forum most of the time. After reading up on it a lot, I realized I would be satisfied with an M235I and it was more the car for me. I look forward to discussing things with you all and, learning about the car.

Thank you. I only took one interior pick so far. I'm still trying to get used to all the controls, it came pretty loaded. |

Congratulations! Is that the lightweight front lip or the BMW M performance front lip with the sides painted?

The only thing I didn't like was the 225's all around. They are all-season and runflats. I guess they were trying to configure for the average consumer, but I would have rather had the staggered setup that usually comes with the car. Those 225's really look skinny from the back, compared to my Evo X, which was 245 all around. |

The whole lip is painted actually, it just looks like the center is darker/black in the pic.

Looks great, hated those wheels on MG when I saw them in person but perfect on blue! I'd get some M performance pedals, blue reflectors from IND and some chrome indicator bulbs to replace the orange in the headlamp and call it just about perfect.

YAY! Let the Modding begin! only kidding.
I too was about to place a deposit for an M2 a month ago. But with them charging over MSRP in my area and the difference in performance as a daily driver, financially it made more sense to get the M235i. Sure you can't brag that the vin begins with WBS, and the car doesn't look as aggressive, nor will it keep it's value like the M2 in the future, but still.....you got yourself a fine car sir. I've had mine for about a month now and have Zero regrets. |

I just liked the car as it was, and would have been happy with it regardless. I also really wanted a sunroof. That's wasn't dealbreaker, but I really wanted one. I'm just not as hardcore as some on here when it comes to stuff like that. I don't blame them however, and it's actually cool reading some of the stuff they discuss. I really like this car so far and keep finding reasons to drive it somewhere whenever I can. I really like the interior. I'm really big on nice interiors and the M235I's is not much different than the M2. Some may think it's simple, but coming from an Evo X, it's night and day. |
