Anywhere to buy OEM black window trim for the F22 coupe?
I've looked everywhere, and I cannot find black OEM (or even third party) window trim for the 2 series. I've tried wrapping the chrome, but it just isn't the same. I would gladly pay for stock gloss black trim.

I looked into this a while back but gave up when I learned that the bright trim is attached to the rear side glass. Its not a simple replacement. I had one body shop offer to paint it, but they said it would involve removing the rear side windows. Having more experience with chaos theory than I wanted in the past, I let this one go.

After getting my car and taking a very good look at it with direct lighting it looks like the dealer guys washed the windows and trim pieces with a scotch bright pad. |

I remember when I had my E92 I read on the forums that they sold the entire shadow trim kit. It came in a massive box as it wasn't something that can be bent and was around $500-$600 for all trim pieces.
I don't see why they wouldn't sell it for the F22. I just checked getbmwparts and they don't have much...ask your local dealer. They should be able to order it. |

Plasti-dip it. The fix is cheap, and if done correctly will look great and last for years. Don't let the name fool you. There is a process involved. It's not just spray on plastic.

Is Plasti-dip really that durable? Can you get it in gloss? |

Also Home Depot has a wide variety of colors and finishes for it. At least mine does here. I may try it as I don't like the shiny trim. I tried using some 3M electrical tape as I've done in the past and it worked okay but meh. I took it off the same day.
