Sounds awesome. Much better than the M3/4...

And the drivers seem to be trying a lot harder now.
Much more commitment through the fast sweepers.

On a different note, I sincerely hope BMW treats the F8x ZCP to some much-needed exhaust tone tweaking. For real, I mean. Not through Active Sound. In fact, get rid of AS altogether.

I think it sounds better than the M3/M4 in the clips. In person I even prefer the M235i tone better than the M3/M4 albeit quieter so I'm sure the M2 will be even more to my liking. I'll bet BMW will restrict the exhaust on the base model and offer an MPE eventually. Seems to be a repeating theme since the e9x.

Good to see it's got sound on the over run. Needs more work though as there is too mush whoosh sound in the WOT which is louder than the exhaust. It's only certain rpm you here the exhaust. The F8x doesn't have this problem and its exhaust sound is consistent although not pleasing to the masses.
BMW need to learn from its mistakes with the F8x and pay extra attention to making the M2 sound right and not half ass it like they have already by the lack of CF roof, n55 and base seats. |
