N55 Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake
for F22 M235i, F3x 335i and F3x 435i

Available May 8th, 2015. Pre-order yours today!

Due to high demand and production limitations this product is highly susceptible to a back order. We are working as quickly as possible to increase production capabilities and fulfill orders but please be aware there may be delays in shipping.

Efficiency and maximizing the potential of the stock intake design were the keys to development for this N55 intake. Our sealed system delivers as much cold outside air as possible to the engine via an optimized carbon fiber tube that mimics the stock pipe but with less resistance with a straighter freer flowing design. The increased amount of air feeds into a larger volume air box complete with a larger filter that elicits a sporty tone that makes the intake sound as good as it performs. This optimized design yields an incredible 10 HP and 15 lb-ft of torque even without any additional modifications. Simply perform the short bolt-on installation in under an hour and enjoy a more powerful and audibly satisfying driving experience.

View the product page HERE for pricing and ordering information.

Benefits of the Dinan Carbon Fiber High Flow Air Intake for the F22 M235i, F30/34 335i and F32/33/36 435i:
  • More Power: +10 HP & +15 lb-ft of torque without additional modifications
  • Even more power can be achieved when combined with the DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner and exhaust. Consult the applicable DINANTRONICS product page for details.
  • Sportier Sound
  • Larger volume air box that completely seals
  • Optimized carbon fiber intake tube
  • Larger cylindrical air filter
  • Larger MAF
  • Quick and easy installation

Stage 2 DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner
For the F30 335i F32/33 435i F22 M235i

With the release of the cold air intake for select N55 engines stage 2 DINANTRONICS is now possible on those select models. The combination of the tuner, exhaust, and intake provides less restrictive air flow and ultimately unlocks tremendous power that can only be described as "awe inspiring". Capping out at 382 HP and 455 lb-ft of torque on the M235i and certain MPPK (M Performance Power Kit) models the transformation stage 2 can have on your car is overwhelming. After all an increase of ~20 HP and 25 lb-ft of torque over stage 1 is hard to ignore.

Below are a few iterations of the performance graphs but just like their stage 1 counterparts on these models there are a great deal of variation so please consult the appropriate product page to get the exact numbers of the vehicle in question.

Remember that if you already have stage 1 installed you will only be required to pay the difference from stage 1 to stage 2 which is $250.

I'm wondering why you choose to mention the BMW Factory rated numbers and go so far as to include (measured) values... but the Dinan Max HP/TRQ numbers are not *measured* values? Or are they?

We simply were noting what BMW claims versus what we measured on a stock car so it was not viewed as we were claiming power that we were not actually producing.

Noted, thanks.

Is one eligible for the $250 upgrade to Stage II if one did not buy the Stage I directly from Dinan (i.e. buying it used from someone else)?

Technically. yes. Although it should be noted that the warranty is tied to the original software license purchase and its corresponding VIN so you would not have any warranty coverage from Dinan.

For anyone interested in the Dinan Stage 2, I have a Stage 1 for sale for $1250 shipped. Upgrade to Stage 2 software for $250 and install the box yourself (very straight forward, only two plugs) and you can save over $1000 versus buying from a dealer (install labor + taxes).

A big advantage of the dinan is that you can safely leave it installed when bringing your car to a dealership.

So stage 2 numbers are with your intake, exhaust system and a tune?

Are all or most of the added power numbers over the stage 1 tune with the stage 2 tune coming from the intake and exhaust and not the tune itself?

the m4 i optioned was 26k more than my M235i, 4k is cheap in comparison.

Plus, i would be adding the same modifications to my M4 haha. So it would save $0

Question has been answered in the other F30 3 series thread if you wanted to consult there.

So basically the car makes 364hp / 430tq peak with just a stage 1 tune and nothing else if I'm reading your website correctly.

Add intake, exahust and stage 2 tune the car makes 382hp / 455tq peak.

So an 18hp gain and 25tq gain (peak) with the addition of the intake, exhaust and stage 2 tune.

Out of curiosity, do you have any dyno graphs of the intake on a bone stock car?

Bump for any dynos with intake only. Kinda hard to evaluate a product's power gains over a range when it's dynoed with multiple other items at the same time.

Just wanted to make note that as of later today we will finally be back order free on this particular product. After months and months of a revolving door of orders (at one point being nearly 200 deep) we have officially caught up and the N55 intakes are now available without succumbing to a back order.

This may have been answered elsewhere, but in order to do stage 2 does the intake and exhaust have to be Dinan parts? What if I already have the aFe intake and m-performance exhaust? Would I be required to repurchase the parts from Dinan?

Not at all. Can't guarantee specific gains with that combination as its never been tested but the tune will still function perfectly fine with competitor brands of hard parts.
