Euro Delivery Pricing
I just spoke with one of my local BMW dealers in Seattle and they told me there is no more Euro MSRP on the new BMWs anymore. Is this true or are they just BSing me?
They said if I do a Euro Delivery on a M235i they will just give 6% discount off the US MSRP so they are selling for 1% over invoice. I thought all Euro Delivery MSRP was 7% below invoice. |

Wow... how can BMW let dealers that represent their brand say things like this...?

The car I was looking at was $51,425 MSRP. BMW of Seattle said the lowest they would do is $48,610 (and claimed that it was non-negotiable), and BMW of Bellevue quoted me at $47,006 (which they claimed to be 3% below ED MSRP). BMW of Portland gave me a substantially better price and they were great to work with. This trend isn't limited to BMW either. When I was buying an MDX for the wife a year ago, it was the same story all over; Puget Sound area dealerships were marking-up their cars a ton, and the customer service was really non-existent. I ended up buying the MDX from Portland. I took the train down to the Portland station, and was driving back up in my new car in less than an hour. Reach out to Brent Cheney at BMW of Portland. He was awesome to work with. |

Just contacted BMW Portland and all their allocations has been spoken for :-(
BMW Bellevue also told me that there are no more Euro Deliveries on M cars. I think because the demand is so high in the PNW, they are choosing to not offer Euro Deliveries on M cars or even Euro pricing on non-M cars. |

I know nothing about Euro Delivery, can someone answer a couple questions?
So if you do Euro Delivery, the price of the car is 7% below MSRP? So for example I built a car on TrueCar.com and it has an MSRP of $51,375 and invoice of $47,685...so with Euro Delivery, it would be 7% off and the price would be $44,347? That's a pretty nice $7,000 discount off MSRP.

Like hyperzulu mentioned, try bimmerdavid (http://www.bimmerdavid.com/) or another interstate dealer. Since you're doing ED, you may be able to set up a courtesy delivery to a closer dealership for ~$500-750.

not exactly. with euro delivery cars. you get 7% off the base car. options are at full MSRP. I think you can negotiate down to euro delivery invoice also (7% lower than US invoice) on cars that aren't as hot as this one (say a 328 or something) but again only on the base portion of the car from research i've done, the options are always MSRP. so euro delivery is relatively an even better deal, on stripped cars if you think of it that way. |

David's an awesome guy (met him back when he was on the east coast) and looks like he is able to finally offer decent discounts on the 235. He was the first one I called when I was looking to buy mine but at the time it was so new he wasn't giving anyone any more than 1k off MSRP. I had to pass to go for a better deal but he'd be the first one I'd call the next time I'm looking as I'll always give him the opportunity to give me his best offer first. |

Might want to try a few more dealers in case their allocations run out. And they do run out quickly. I was told 1 per month per dealership.
I went with Justin Wong at New Century BMW for my ED. Very straight up guy, no BS. Awesome discount. Just keep reaching out to dealerships. Most of the dealers do internet sales all the time and can get the car across the country for you. |
