Munich Tax on European Delivery?
Anyone get a tax bill in German shortly after their European delivery? I got one for 18 euro. Or did I get a ticket? Google translate leads me to believe it is a tax. I did not expect this.

When was your ED? Mine was from the 9/19 to 9/24 - haven't received anything yet.

My ED was Sept.20 to Oct.3. I just got the same letter for 11 Euros. It's actually the German Road Tax Letter that confirms BMW paid the road tax on your behalf. When you checked in, you signed a SEPA-Lastchriftmandat to allow this. The back of the "Preparing your Vehicle for shipment to the U.S." you received explains this. No need to pay anything out of pocket. If you're still not sure, email BMW European Delivery, or check other threads such as this one that say the same:
