cheap winter wheels solution
Wondering if anyone has some options for affordable oem wheels I can swap on my M2 for winter storage. I would like to put the summer tires inside for the winter and would prefer a beater set i can leave the car sit on and be mobile enough to drive a mile or two if ness rather than putting up on jackstands for the season. Thanks in advance for any help.

Personally, I would just overinflate the summer tires, park it, and forget it. Why would you need to drive a mile or two, assuming you have another vehicle for the winter? I inflated the tires to 40 lbs. in my M235i when I used to store it and didn't touch it until spring. Unless you're going to take it out for a drive long enough to heat the oil up to temp (20 minutes), it's best to not even start it.
As far as those wheels, if the mismatched rim doesn't bother you, they look okay if your plan is to occasionally drive the car. You should be able to find other deals in the M2/M3/M4 forums. I found a 641M winter tire/wheel package from an M3 owner for $1300. The wheels were the same 19x8.5 and 19x9 sizes made for the M2 winter package, but the M3 package came with 255/35-19 tires instead of the 235 tires in the M2 package. I'm on my 3rd winter with them and no rubbing issues.

Just find a used set off a 2/3/4 series on facebook marketplace or where-ever local to you.
If you don’t care about looks and won’t be driving it anywhere, just look for a used/take-off set. ‘BMW Rims’ into the search and away you go. Just make sure they’ll clear the calipers. |

Need first world problem advice!
I currently have a 3.5 (fairly deep) garage, wife and kids have 1/2, my cars and yard equipment have the other 1/2. Should I build a detached garage or purchase 2 lifts? The lifts would be cheaper, but man would it be nice to have my OWN 2 car garage that could be locked and not have a zero-turn mower or kids sledding toys in the same space.
