So after a week of owning the F22, I can say I am very happy with the options I picked for the car. No regrets whatsoever! This car is through and through redonkulous!! An almost perfectly well engineered car.

BMW unfortunately has never really been known for having good sound systems. They actually tend to be sub-par in most cases |

Just purchased a '16 model, and I definitely regret not getting the rear view camera and parking sensors. I see that Bimmer-tech.com has both for sale and I'm considering pulling the trigger. What do you guys think?

Since you cannot make the M235i really lightweight (most heavy options are standard, anyway) - I just thought what the heck and loaded it fully. At least the change from my previous, luxurious F10 didn't hut so much (and performance-wise, my M235i is till a monster - just what I was hoping for it to be). Almost as agile as my R

Since not going with the tech/premium packages, I made up for MP CF shifter/ebrake and the biggest no regrets is the MP LSD. More GO than less Tech show!!! |

I think i would have appreciated the performance exhaust and diffuser.
I do regret having the half hood 3m on my car. Would have been much better to go third party and have the whole hood done. The line makes me angry. |

After day 2 owning the car, I went and got her a 3M but just went with all bumper/splitter/lights/door handle. Plan to get the hood done later this summer. You can always get that anytime. I wouldn't worry about it too much. |

I regret getting the staggered wheels with summer run-flat tires.
I'd like to have MPSS tires on a square wheel config from mid-February through mid-December, and switch to all-weather tires on their own wheels for the winter months. Ice and snow are not an issue for me in Austin, but summer tires are too risky on some cold days in mid winter. So I need to buy all-weather tires in a few months. I'm not sure what I'll do to transition from where I am to where I want to be. Maybe step one will be to replace the summer run flats with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires early in December. The 461M 18” wheels look great and would be OK in the winter because the number and size of pot holes around here is low. This would be a poor setup for most other regions, but should be fine here as my normal mid-winter setup. Too bad I didn't choose all-weather tires on my 461Ms originally. That would have eliminated this step. Then step two late in February could be to buy the MPSS tires and the additional new wheels I really want for use most of the year. I'm thinking that I'd get four 17x7.5 light-weight wheels. This combo should improve handling a lot. Also, the extra inch of tire would help protect the expensive wheels and could be important when driving on unfamiliar roads even in the summer. |

I thought it was a standard option. I better check my window sticker to see if it was an option on mine. I might of assumed it was since my exhaust tips were black chrome.

Very happy with all of my options.
With that said, I may have chosen the Oyster sensatec if it were available for the MY. Not really a regret but I definitely want to upgrade the exhaust (too quiet), do a full hood xpel wrap (only front bumper / lights right now), and tints. If I do a little better moneywise in the future, a widebody kit!

Our $3,695 Canadian Premium Package for 228i comes with Glass Sunroof, Auto Dimming Exterior Mirrors, Electric Seats with Driver Memory, Heated Steering Wheel, Instrument Cluster extended, Rear View Camera, Rear Park Distance Control, navigation.
If I were to pick again, I would have skipped this package and retrofitted the back up camera for about $700, save the $3000. |

I was a little apprehensive about upgrading to the Harmon-Kardon sound system after reading on here that others were disappointed in the sound quality...To my ears, with the treble and bass equalizers maxed out, the system sounds great. A mid equalizer would have been nice though.

I regret not getting the Smartphone integration package. My thought was I could get all the functions I needed plugging in to the USB port in armrest. But when the phone is in the armrest, I lose some signal strength. With the integration package, you can tap into the cars cell phone antenna.
