Leaving Europe need help with front bumper holes
I am leaving Germany and shipped my BMW back to North Carolina. North Carolina doesn't require a front license plate. Is there something I can do about the two holes my old Europe license plate left in my bumper? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So are you gonna have a 2er without the orange reflectors in the US or is it a US spec car with European delivery? If its the first I'm definitely jealous

It's a US Spec. I bought the painted reflectors before I took delivery and installed them the first day...lol.

We're in SC, no front plate, but our used M235i came from NJ, which does have one. There were 6 holes in the front bumper under the front plate. The dealer gave me a BMW logo plate to cover them up, but I didn't like the way it hung down into the grill area. So, I thought I'd have some fun and got a Euro plate bracket, and a fake German plate that in a rear view mirror reads "MUV IT ON OVR". I know, certainly not a purist move, and probable "poser-ish", but a lot cheaper than a new front bumper cover. Plus, I've gotten a few laughs out of it from people asking about it.

So, he probably had to mount front plate and has holes now. And I can confirm ED doesn't drill holes. Mine was taped on. |

I was stationed near Stuttgart. The people at European Military Auto Sales mounted (drilled) the front plate bracket. Obviously I had to turn in my old German plates and I can tell you that it wasn't double sided tape.
I have a buddy that ordered an M4 from another military auto sales dealer closer to Ramstein and they double sided taped his front bracket. He just shipped his M4 back and he had one hell of a time getting the front plate off. |

I am in PA and my car came from a dealer in Ohio. Ohio requires front plates but PA does not. So, when the day came to pick up my new car, I noticed a BMW vanity plate on the front and told them I didn't want it on there. Little did I know there were four holes drilled in the bumper. I went back and forth with the dealer on possible solutions and the dealer finally agreed to have the holes filled and painted by their body shop at no charge to me. Very happy with the results and you can't even tell the holes were there. I don't think I could live with four bumper plugs, but that's me. I would check with a body shop about getting them filled in and painted.
