Cool So, how's this performance?

From M lap timer.
Temps in the 48 degrees F.
A/S tires (I know Blasphemy - they are going off after this season, next year summer!)
AWD M235 with the Active-8 box (setting 5 IIRC)

First in Sport mode. I stop the car.... then I just floored it fast. Transmission in normal mode (forgot it really)... and m lap timer gave me 0-60 in 4.7.

After I did with launch control: sport+, transmission sport, and launch control mode... and I got this:

Commentary? I imagine the m lap timer is very precise, since it is using vehicle data no? I'm really happy!

Very nice indeed, and on A/S tires too.

I got this with launch control on A/S tires as well but as you can see it was quite a bit warmer out at the time and still spun a little bit the tires were not very happy

Proof positive this car is a straight up steal at it's price for the performance you get.

Could you please share how to use the M Lap Timer? And I can't find the app at the official app store, or anywhere else.

The BMW website gives a tutorial, just search BMW M Laptimer and it should be first link in your Google search. To record 0-60, you simply need to come to a complete stop and of course gun it to at least 60. You can then look at your phone to see your results.

One tip, start the RECORDing on the m lap timer (which is done in the car idrive UI) before you've stopped. Then come to a complete stop. Launch Control (or not) then do your thing... once you've completed it for sure, you can stop the m lap timer recording (again in the idrive ui) and review.

I've tried Google search and even the Apple app store and BMW Laptimer does not appear for download... anywhere... any country.

That's very odd, I just did a search in the app store on my phone for laptimer and the BMW M Laptimer was the 3rd one down. It's definitely there.

Also some people have youtube vids on how to use the app.

Well, I got out my iPhone, launched App Store and found it in a search. The funny thing was that previously, I was doing this on my new iPad, where it does not work for some odd reason.

Anyway, thanks!
