JB4 - Scorcher - Race Chip Long-term reviews

Hi - I've got about 12k miles on the car. It's my daily driver obviously. I'm finally looking to play with the power using one of the tunes. The only other mods I have are the dinan springs and spacers. Based on reading other threads, it sounds like the Scorcher or Race Chip are my best bet in terms of ease of install and budget.

However, I only seem to be reading people's initial reactions. How are these tunes holding up in daily driver vehicles after several months? Are there any of these tunes that don't seem to hold up? They throw codes, warranty issues, boxes melt, etc.?

Please point me to any threads that cover this as it's possible I missed it.

Lots of reviews out there.
If you are looking to add DP/intercooler JB4 is your best bet. It is the only complete tune available for these cars (datalogging , code reading, boost control by rpm, etc...)
If you are only trying to add power on a stock car JB stage 1 , afe are both good choice.
AFE is more aggressive stock and the JB is more flexible and gives you the ability to add more boost if you wish so

Yep lots of reviews but no thoughts so far on how these are holding up? Some people must have had them for at least 6 months at this point. I'm not seeing any of those perspectives.

We sell a lot of Afe and BMS tunes. Lots of positive feedback and it does not take long for customers to get more performance mods (charge pipe, intercooler or downpipes). So i would say it is holding up pretty well

If you need input on RaceChip the F15 fellas have been using it for almost a year with 10k+ miles on them. I've only been using mine since beg of December 2014 and so far about 4k miles. My MPG improvement is perfect, before I did not want to drive the car as hard since MPG was falling like crazy, now I'm not worried for it dropping so fast.

All the tunes you mention have plenty of feedback and users here.
I know Delnari who had BMS/DINAN and kept the aFe instead on his 235, but there's also RaceChip 235 now and some on BMS as well.

At the end of the day it will be which tune feels better for you.

Running JB4 for over 7k miles. No issues. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the tunes mentioned. Go with Burger if you plan on adding more mods. If not buy a stage 1 pnp and call it a day. Good luck.
