Hoping that someone can help me. I had my car at the dealership for a tire change and the tech noted "t-case wet, diagnosis required". They couldn't give me any further information without a $200 diagnosis fee. I got under the car and took this picture of the transfer case and I don't see anything that appears to be leaking. There is some grime build up but I've been driving all winter in Canada and I imagine that's mostly dirt. There is no liquid of any kind on the garage floor where I park every night.

Looking for any input before I part with $200. Thank you in advance.

It's fine. Techs are always scaring customers to drum up business.

Appreciate it. For peace of mind I'll clean it up once the roads are swept and monitor it.

Good plan. It may be weeping a little but not near the $2000 gasket replacement time.
