That's actually not 100% the case. The N55 that'll go in the M2 and indeed the X4 MPA is supposed to have S55 hardware. So it won't just be a simple tune with overboost function

Gotta wait n see, but unless you see a revised head, cams, or bigger turbo, software only gets you so far and Tuning it over a regular N55 will still get you similar gains.

Plus look at the N54 in a 335, 335is vs the 1m. Not much differed in terms of end result tuning. But different engines different era.

Gotta wait n see

Enzo,

Does this overwrite the Alpina Transmission flash or is that written on a different chip not the DME?

No it does not, just a reflash of the DME (engine module)

So this will simply overwrite the PPK, right?
Sit on top of, since PPK alters parameters...

Hmm... the Enzo tune is a flash. I could be wrong, but I think the Enzo tune replaces, not sits on top of, the BMW tune - which would include a flashed PPK tune.

I'd like to learn more about it though

I guess we'll find out soon!
My impression is that parameters set by BMW like throttle response and steering, etc, aren't altered (ie PPK).
Boost/AF ratios by load and rpm/CEL deletes are parameters that would be altered. It's an engine tune like we're used to...

Have you had a custom tune, such as PTF or Wedge? I had a JB4 I got the PTF and the PTF tune took it to a whole new level. Plus, I can easily remove it when I take it to the dealer.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the tunes you mentioned are only available for the E series cars.

Hopefully there aren't many CEL deletes!

Once we read the ECU we change the parameters accordingly. The new file gets uploaded with all the necessary changes. Our tune does not sit on the existing but replaces the factory file with an updated one.

Ah yes, I forgot about BMW encrypting their ECU code. The Enzo tune is probably similar to a PTF tune for E series.

If you get a tune, I highly recommend the GFB DV+ diverter valve as it helps hold boost better than the stock diverter valve. Not very difficult to install.

Thanks for the advice, I was going to hold off on the DV until I upgrade the turbo.

Is your AWRON picking up flash?

I ran a 12.25 at 110mph in the Pennsylvania mountains on a 90 degree day at 3500 feet DA with no launch control or brake boosting with the JB4. I got there late. just went down the track that one time I'm going back in 2 weeks. I know for sure the 11s are achievable with a proper launch there are other members here who have ran 11s already. I like the the looks of this tune but until I can flash it myself when I please I'll stick with the JB4. I'm just saying if your looking for room to play you have it with the JB4.
