11.7 with just a JB4, DP and some E85 fuel? Sorry bro but that's hard to swallow.

Wasn't the time slip in the first post?

Just cause you see a video and a time slip doesn't prove that he isn't running more than he is saying.

Not saying I don't believe him, just saying I get where his doubt is coming from.

Correct, perhaps there are sociopaths on here that prefer to boost fake self esteem by running nitrous and then claiming in was a lesser setup? I mean, anything is possible, but what is the point of posting fake results to strangers. Not to discount mental illness at all, but that would be pretty nuts on a car forum I'd think. That said, I've got a stage 1 tune and hi-flow catted downpipe and on 93 octane I'd guess from past experience w/ N54 135i w/tune I'd be lucky to hit 110-112 at best in 1/4, have no idea how much ethanol helps, but I think the original post said about in the 112 range without the ethanol mix, so it seems like a large difference; 5-6 mph in 1/4. Stage 2 JB users should easily know how much the fuel mix helped for mph in 1/4; I have no experience with that.

Well then the timeslip seems possible as the poster originally was running about 112 on pump gas.

I am still running the stock charge pipe.

I don’t have any logs. I always intend to, but end up just running.

I don’t know what the DA was but the air quality was very good in my opinion.

My tire pressure is whatever stock is, somewhere in the low 30’s I think. I didn’t change it, but probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to get some better traction. Run flats may not care though with the stiff sidewall. You can hear the tires spinning off the line, so some better tires might help. Maybe the missing link to get the 1.605 60’ into the 1.5’s.

I don’t have any dyno numbers. I can’t find a dyno shop that is open for dyno runs on the weekend. They all seem to be open 8-6 during the weekdays which doesn’t work for me. I’d love to get it dynoed so if anyone knows of good shop with an awd dyno in the Chicago or Milwaukee area that runs on the weekend please let me know.

My trap speed was down a little bit, but I noticed this is typical when I hot lap the car (which is what this was). I typical lose 1-3mph.
Late model throttle is in the Milwaukee area and I think they have the only AWD dyno in the area.

Just to add some data I have. The cars an ewg rwd m135i and I'm at sea level. I haven't been to a dedicated track and my runs were all done via vbox, all within the allowed gradient so it's certainly good enough to compare.

My times them selves aren't impressive with a 12.6 being my quickest, I can't get bellow a 2.3s 60ft. My test road isn't grippy what so ever and I need to practice my launch more. However my mph has been consistent at 118mph and after a few map 6 changes now 119mph consistent.

Mods are downpipe, custom map 6 targeting 18 psi peak, E25 mix using an equivalent to US 93 and E100.

Now if I can sort out my 60ft I have a car capable of mid/high 11's.

Daleb, your 60' will dramatically increase on a prepped road surface. As far as your trap speed on 119mph, I think something is off there.

I can't see how it can be off though, we all know a vbox is very accurate and is +/- 0.5mph to a proper track. I was initially trapping 117/118 at my original 18psi targets but then played with the targets Lower down and it netted me the extra 1mph.

The stretch of road i use is perfect for it to in terms of slope. I've had my fastest 60-100mph verified at 4.3s and and 100-200kph best at 8.4/8.5s. My times for those runs are always around 0.1-0.3s all measured with the vbox.

Do you have any vbox times for those above speeds?

that is a very impressive speed for your mods in that case. I'd love to see a slip when you get time!

Yeah I might try and go next time I'm home, the track isn't the best but at least it would give me an official slip

Isn't the 135 lighter than the 2? I'd imagine so but am too lazy to google it. Also, I wonder if the fact that you're using E100 would have any effect. Compared to a mix with E85 you have a much lower water content.

Yeah it's possible. My octane rating using E100 should be higher compared to the same mix using E85.

I have lighter wheels and decat which would contribute to a few KG's saved over the own weight. I think the 1er is 1440 and the 2er is Around 100kg heavier.

Now that the air is a bit cooler near me I'm gonna try and get out to the track next Friday night. After that it's going under the knife for the Pure stage 2 turbo and maybe an ecu flash.

Can't wait to hear the results. Which tune are you eyeing?

Eyeing a local tuner. Cb tuning. He's had lots of success flash tuning m3/m4 cars so I'd let him crack the dme put on a nice base map then add the jb4

Yup, you caught me. I use a bottle of Casper’s concoction to get my faster times. I will be selling it for $83 for a 1 ounce bottle.

My mods are what I listed. I’m just here to share, learn and help. As stated, the weather was ideal for my quickest run and the awd gives me a good jump off the line.

I did buy the car used, so the previous owner could have done something in the 3 months they owned it that I am unaware of, but if you look at my logs (as posted over on N54tech) there is nothing special about them.

What isn’t shown in a singular time is the variability throughout the night and from one night to the next. Two runs before the 11.639 run I ran an 11.85, two runs after I ran an 11.87. My mph varied between 113.15 to 116.59, with my second fastest mph coming with my slowest time ET. The slower times are more typical for what I run.
