Anyone else overheating? Is this a cooling issue or am I just driving my car that hard? I have FBO... My car only overheats when its not moving, if im beating on it on the highway i am fine but once i get out to the city and stop and go traffic I get high temp display+limp mode on my idrive and then shortly after completely overheats and I cant go past 15mph... Anyone know if this is a common problem?

Sounds like fan not turning on....

When on highway or moving... Air hits radiator and keeps it cool.

But when stopped or traffic... If fan isnt working to cool radiator water, it heats up .....

Either fan motor, fan relay, fuse.


Do this. Start car while parked and wait till warms up, hot etc, and see if fan kicks on.... But keep in mind i think a fan will turn on with AC, so keep AC off during testing.

Actually my AC goes hot when its not moving then once I start moving it goes cold again... So idk, blower motor? Fan is shot? Im lost

If AC gets hot when not moving it must be a fan issue.

Okay, I guess Im going to have to take a look, its pissing me off... Also cant deal when the dealer is useless too... "Everything looks okay..." wtf
