230i with RWD and Manual in Valencia Orange. My first BMW and I really like it. Just doing a little math,

About 12,000 of 2 series will be sold in 2017, maybe less.

A small percentage will be 230

A few of those will be RWD

A few of those will be MT

A few of those might be VO

I'm feeling kinda special right now.

Congrats on the new car! Great choice for a first BMW. The 2 is awesome in all flavors, and yours certainly is rare.

Thinking about it I realize many of us have fairly rare configurations.
I have a M235xi cabrio
The M235 cabrio with xDrive was only built in one model year - 2016
Then add in the ext/int colour combos and option configs and I'm betting that anyone driving one is in pretty exclusive company.

235 xDrive vert here too. BSM with CR and gloss black interior trim (which was never offered on 235 just 228).

OP congrats on the new ride def rare - but - not sure about selling less 230 vs 240. Anyone have data?

Speaking of rarities, I haven't seen another M235i in months. Since I bought mine a bit over 3 years ago, I think I've seen a whole two M235i's on the road. One was an Estoril Blue Coupe and the other was a cream colored vert.

I have spotted perhaps four or five 228i's, one 230i and one M240i.

Overall, the 2-series seems to be a relatively rare bird. I like it.

While all 2 series are relatively rare in the BMW world (just look at sales numbers) by my observations on of vehicles on dealer lots and on the street, I'd guess 228 / 230 have outsold M235 / M240 by a 3:1 or 4:1 margin and coupe outsells vert at least 2:1.

That's a lot closer than I would have guessed BUT I was not thinking of folks opting for the vert vs the 4 series. More fun to drive less $ and you get the benefits of soft vs folding hard top (weight distribution and trunk room).

I was purely thinking of people just looking 2 coupe vs 2 vert.

Thanks, Captain....yes, I couldn't quite accept the burden of all that extra weight of two more pistons!

Seems OP and I share that good judgement as well as color choices!
