What's it like driving on 19inch wheels Vs 18's?
Anyone using 19's as a daily and over it? Looking at a new set of wheels and most come in 19's that I like, but unsure I will like the ride. Any feedback is appreciated.

If it's enough of a concern for you to ask, you will most probably be dissatisfied.

On 19's with resulting super low profile tires, you will feel it when you run over a gum wrapper.

On the upside: 1. IMO Car aesthetics receive an upgrade - will turn heads. 2. Assuming a good set of low profile (summer) tires - handling (especially cornering) is significantly improved. |

This is the only way I'd consider doing it. I think there is room available for this and of course it fills out the wheel wells very nicely. Not sure what the cons would be, but doubt they are significant. I'd spend some time over in the Wheel & Tires Forum.

Interesting read on wheel sizes, weight, etc.

19's are fine, but noticeable when switching back and forward. A bit of a more "pronounced" road feel/noise. It's not as bad as most make it out to be. Just run the right sized tire so you have minimal stretch and as much sidewall support as possible (ex. 19x9 w255/30, 19x8 w225/35)
I have the 624m forged wheels with 225/35 & 255/30 and it rides fine, like any other sports car with factory low profile tires. THAT SAID, if I lived in Toronto, again, or any Metropolis, I'd get a nice set of 18's and run a 35 or 40 series tire, just from the brutal impact of the potholes themselves.. GL |

I'm running M Performance M624 19" wheels. The profile of a tyre is 30 and 35. I'm young and bought a sports car so I don't care about comfort, haha.
But you will feel it. Mine are flatruns as well so it's even worse. Depance where you live. :-) For me in Czech it's sometimes quite issue |

Not great on crappy roads. The adjustable dampers really help.

What's interesting is that the M2 runs 19s as well, but it's tires are nearly 1" larger in diameter compared to the optional M Performance rubberband 19" tire setup on the M235. That extra 1/2" of sidewall goes a long way plus the meatier look is better, IMO.

That's interesting... I wonder if anyone has tried running the same spec tire as on the F3x 19s staggered setup - 225/40R19 front and 255/35R19 rear. Is it just a speedometer error where it reads about 4% slow, or does it introduce other issues?

Take the Pirelli's off and go up a size in the rear, with MPSS's and you'll take care of both above noted issues. Car came with 225/245 Pirelli rf's and the MPSS is a much "meatier" tire, and much softer. The factory setup wasn't horrible, though.. Adaptive dampers ftw, on that note.. I will know more about how the 19's ride once I install my KW's next year
