Vrsf chargepipe help

Took the intake off, I'm about to start unplugging sensors and all that fun stuff. Just realized I might have to get under the car to install it, do it? I don't have a jack or anything and this would really suck to run into. By the way, it's for an automatic AWD m235, any links/videos,guides on how to install it? Can't find anything on how to install it, except one forum but the pictures can't be viewed. Would love some help!

There are plenty of Youtube videos and N55 charge pipe install DIYs on other BMW forums. Yes, you MUST jack the car up, remove the under covers, and somehow shrink your arms. AWD will be your enemy here. From what I've read and seen, AWD makes things twice as hard when working on the bottom side of the engine bay installing charge pipes and downpipes. This why one should ALWAYS research installation before attempting the install in the first place.

Even though it's VRSF, install videos are mainly universal for whichever charge pipe? And good to know I'll get a jack haha

I just pulled mine out in preparation for an ER charge pipe. I jacked it up from the center point and then put in two jack stands on either side, with the jack loosened a little as safety.

The hardest part for me was getting the stock CP off the IC without dropping it or taking the entire cover. I only took out the small flap under the driver side corner and used a long screwdriver to pull the wire clip up then came in from the top of the bay after removing my CAI and undid the clip on the other side.

Pushed it off the IC from the bottom. Getting it out took another 5 mins. Take the sensor out and then pull up, twist and push from the bottom of the stock CP and it'll bend to let you take it out. Be careful with all the wires and hoses around that area...

Dumb me though... My stock CP ruptured around the throttle body so I lost the stock clip and oring. Didn't notice until I pulled it out and have the new CP sitting in front of me.
