Nice, I'm thinking of doing a similar move and trading in my 335i for an M240i.
Have you gotten used to the rev matching? Is it annoying/obtrusive? Can you still rev match yourself even with it enabled? Will it rev-match correctly if you drop down a few gears at once? That feature is really my biggest reservation about the car. I'd go test drive one but I have a better chance of winning the lottery than my dealer having a 6MT/RWD to try out. |

Rev matching works perfectly every time. You can drop a couple gears and it will rev match accordingly. You can't disable it but you are able to rev match yourself before the bmw rev matches for you. LFunny part is, sometimes I over or under rev matched and then dropped into desisted gear, my m240i then puts me to shame by correcting my rev match by adjusting the rpms lol: Here is what I am still missing on my 435 (With a metric on its impact to me): 1. Seatbealt robot arm (7/10) 2. Hydraulics in the trunk so it auto opens after delatching (5/10) 3. HUD (3/10) 4. How her rear looks like (1/10) - can be fixed imo by buying a diffuser) 5. No oil temp gauge (1/10) - maybe somewhere in menu? This is the first car I've considered owning since my e93 N54 335 and e46 m3. ThAts how much I like it Hope this helps |

Can you add more details about the door storage? How is the 2-series better?

Wow, really different cars. I think you need to decide if top down motoring or the availability of 4 doors is the priority. The only similarity is the B58 motor - not a bad place to start, but then you are at a significant fork in the decision process. Best of luck.

Same boat. Swore up and down that I'm leasing new cars for life (was in VW/Audi land), then acquired this car and decided to purchase this time around. So happy I did, and for the first time (in a long time) I am not thinking about my next car after one year of ownership. Glad to hear others are having the same experience. It really speaks volumes to the new "F" platform. The N55 and B58 will be great motors long term, I imagine...
