I agree, why was the car doing 166 MPH on the dyno? That seems a bit extreme and unnecessary.

YouTube sucks because it takes too long between having to log in, fill in crap, etc.

Try www.postimage.org and then post the link, much faster and easier.

So dharo1 did you end up welding or clamping your exhaust? Looks nice
Looking forward to finding out your input on the Dinan tune as well since I might be ordering soon too. Was very happy with my stage 3 on my old 135i

The tuner put the car in 6th gear instead of 5th gear by mistake on the initial pass. My point is the car went well past the 155 mph factory limiter. On my 335i with Dinan Stage 2 the factory limiter was removed and labelled as a selling point. No mention with this version of the limiter being removed, but still a great option for the track guys.

Either way, for him to not fully disclose the issue is a pansy move. For full transparency, it's best to know exactly what's going on since he's one of the first on the forums with the Dinan tune.

not if someone is working with him. What would the possible alternative be? He spent 2000 and is stuck. If it was your 2000 you would probably go along with whatever is causing him to holdback too. He doesn't owe us anything, his main concern should be for his own well being. I'm sure all will be revealed in due time.

Read my earlier post, I can not speak to the details until late next week. Come then you will all know everything. So, be a good boy and sit!

Sure. But the fact that his car was on the dyno and he can't speak of the results speaks volumes. If the results were anything impressive or even close to expectation, they would have been reported.

Came in to see the results. Too bad they were not posted. People post bad BMS results. It's no big deal. If the results are bad you contact the tuner to figure out what went wrong, fix it, and post the updated results.

For the dyno runs with F series automatics I thought they were supposed to be done in 5th gear? That goes up to 140mph or so.

Heres my take....the shop forgot to strap the car down during the dyno and the car went 160mph into the dyno comp and destroyed all the results lol

Welding. I'll try to post videos tomorrow...Since I'm coming from an oem muffler, the difference in sound is noticeable

I don't think there's a shop in the area with a dyno. But I heard there's a technical college nearby that has one. I'll try to contact them this week and try to before and after runs....I hope Dinan doesn't disappoint.

This. You guys are being ridiculous whining and speculating as to why he has not posted the results. Coming up with elaborate conspiracy theories to defraud all the honest consumers. Delnari is being smart and keeping his mouth shut for good reason Im sure, and I hope he does so as long as necessary for him. There are plenty of ridiculous posts where members laugh while incriminating themselves. For the most part it is just jokes and will never matter, but it is not very difficult to access these posts if say there was some type of investigation going on. Use your heads, there is clearly something going on other than a less than stellar dyno result.

In most cases I would concur with this general sentiment my issue however with the whole situation stems from the claim that the car was going 166 MPH. Dinan has said that they have not removed the governor. I am sure they would market it if they have since it's kind of a big deal. That leads me to the conclusion that either: a) Delnari is lying, b) the car is broken / special, c) the dyno is broken, or d) the dyno operator is a crook. Regardless of any of the potential options it doesn't matter the conclusion I come to is the same... whatever numbers that are given by this test are not real / legitimate numbers for a normally equipped car (I leave open the possibility that this car is "special" although I would HIGHLY doubt it).

The fact of the matter is a claim was made that shouldn't be possible given the limitations of the equipment being used therefore any results stemmed from this test are bogus.

Uploaded two videos to youtube (Dinan Exhaust)

1. Cold start (note: catless). I think it sounds ok at start.

2. 35 seconds later - this is the sound I like.

So far Afe momentum CAI, ER downpipe, charge pipe and FMIC.

Thank Pikcachu, I had phone in silence mode: sometimes simple solutions to apparent big problems.
